The Caterpillars are getting to know each other and BVPS. Our schedule is familiar to us all now, and I am hearing conversations using each other's names. I am able to expand the time we spend together in the circle as attention spans lengthen, and we are playing games we know (matching) as well as learning new ones (Clothespin Colors). We are emphasizing courtesy in speaking to each other and teachers, and appropriate sound levels for the classroom.
Playdough is a continuing favorite, by adding unusual items like small rocks, we expand the play. All good for strengthening hand muscles, leading to printing and scissor control.
Isabella celebrated her 4th birthday with us Tuesday.
We chose colors and cut out our kites, then got to use the hole punch to put strings on.
